The April issue of the Sneem Community Notice Board features Sneem National School’s Legendary Light Savers who have made it to the final eight in the SEAI’s One Good Idea Competition. They will be travelling to Dublin Castle on 15th May for the Final and we wish them the best of luck. Congratulations to the students of St. Michael’s National School, Sneem on reaching the final 8 of the SEAI’s One Good Idea Competition. The Senior classes will be travelling to Dublin Castle on 15th May for the final. Here’s a video they made about Mr. Bee and saving electricity.

A Fundraiser is taking place in The Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoighaire on 16th February 2018 to raise funds for the Sneem Digital Hub. There will be a Mock Wedding featuring Danny Healy-Rae, a 4 course meal and music by the Singing Jarvey.

On June 17th, Sneem GAA , via its ‘John Egan Memorial Committee’ will host the unveiling of a bronze memorial to one of the ‘All-time Greats’ of Kerry football and Sneem native, John Egan. The memorial is a life size statue of John, sculpted by renowned artist, Alan Hall from Valentia and will be set in South Square , facing Sneem Sportsfield, where John gave so many displays of his remarkable footballing skills, vision etc. over many years.
