The October issue of the Sneem Community Notice Board features the Pollinator award on the front cover along with what’s happening over the coming month including the Sneem Men’s Shed Car Boot Sale and the annual Scarecrows on the Green Festival. Updates from local organisations are inside and the programme for the upcoming International Sneem Storytelling and Folklore Festival is on the centre pages. Pages 8 and 9 detail the actions from the TidyTowns adjudication report.

Sneem wins Pollinator Award
Sneem TidyTowns committee is delighted to win one of the eight regional Pollinator Awards at the SuperValu TidyTowns Awards which took place in Dublin on Monday 24th September. This was Sneem’s first year entering for the Local Authority Pollinator Award but the colourful village has embraced the ideals of the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan and is looking forward to implementing further pollinator friendly actions in the future.

Welcome to the 200th edition of the Sneem Community Notice Board. Started in March 2009, this local newsletter keeps everybody up to date on what’s happening in Sneem and the surrounding areas. This month’s edition features the victorious rowers who took part in the All Ireland Rowing Championships in August. There are reports from local clubs and details of upcoming activities in the area.

The August edition of the Sneem Community Notice Board features the Seine Boat crew who won the Johnny Mahoney Cup on the front page. Inside are pictures from the recent Debs ball, a report from the Sneem Summer Festival and details of upcoming events in the village. Sneem Rowing Club regatta results are reported along with photos of the crews and we wish them the best of luck in the upcoming All Ireland Coastal Rowing Championships in Wexford.

Inside the Legendary Lightsavers from Sneem National School were runners up in the SEAI One Good Idea competition.
