The White Strand Beach just before the village of Castlecove is 10km (6 miles) from Sneem. It is one of the favorite beaches for Sneem locals and is a must if you’re looking for things to do with kids on a sunny day. With lots of rocks to clamber on and rock pools to explore, and safe clear shallow water to swim it, it’s paradise for young and old.

The Peaceful Panda
The third memorial to President O’Dalaigh is a white marble panda at the entrance to the Pier Road. It was donated in friendship by the Peoples Republic of China in 1986. Cearbhaill O’Dalaigh had visited China and had been an early advocate of Chinese admission to the United Nations.
