There’s lots happening in Sneem over the Bank Holiday weekend and our Scarecrows on the Green festival returns for the half-term break. There are reports from various clubs as restrictions ease and events start happening again.

The September issue of the Sneem Community Notice Board features local confirmations and first Holy Communion on the front and back covers. Inside are signs of a community coming back to life with schools reopened and clubs planning to meet again.

The July/August issue of the Sneem Community Notice Board features the Knightley family who won a car in the local Credit Union members draw. Inside find reports of Sneem Development’s work around the village and a list of the Top 10 things to do for free in Sneem. There’s a collage of the Sneem River Word Walk 2021 on the back cover.

The June issue features two new businesses on the front cover, Kav’s Coffee and Sneem Heritage Village Tours. Inside, there are end of year reports from Sneem Community Preschool and Creche and Tahilla and Sneem National schools. This bumper full colour issue contains a pull out AED map showing where defibrillators can be found in the local area. There is also news of golf, gardening, tennis and boules, Sneem has everything to enjoy outdoors this summer.

This month’s newsletter has details of businesses reopening after the latest (and hopefully the last) lockdown. There are reports from both schools, the Darkness into Light swim, Sneem Autism Friendly project, Sneem TidyTowns, Resource Centre, Church and the hunt for the common lizard from the LIVE project.

This issue featured Sneem Bridge on the front cover which was closed for repairs. There are reports from both local schools, Sneem Digital Hub, Blackwater News and local news. A proposal is put forward for Sneem to become an Autism Friendly Village.

The March issue of the Sneem Community Notice Board celebrates the vaccination of half the village for Covid 19. There are reports from Sneem Gardeners, Sneem and Tahilla National Schools, and an appeal for rental accommodation from Sneem Digital Hub.

Our first issue of 2021 features photos of locals sea swimming during the current level 5 lockdown. Our pre-lockdown Outdoor Christmas market is featured, there’s a report from Tahilla CNS and some pollinator information.

The December issue contains details of the upcoming outdoor Christmas Market, reports from the local schools, the CE scheme, TidyTowns and other local groups and the Christmas ads from local businesses

The November issue features photos from the Scarecrows on the Green and Pumpkins on the Bridge in Sneem over Halloween. There are reports from Sneem Development and TidyTowns, Tahilla CNS and Sneem Digital Hub as well as local business contacts.
