Sacre Coeur Restaurant

Sacre Coeur Restaurant

The Sacre Coeur Restaurant was first opened in 1968 by Cáit O’Sullivan who recognised the need for a restaurant in Sneem to cater for travellers and tourists.  The restaurant is now run by her son, Johnny, who is the chef, and his wife, Trish, at front of house.  Celebrating 50 years in business in 2018, this family restaurant is known for its consistent standard in producing the best local fresh fish, meat and vegetables.

Serving evening meals from 6pm, with an early bird menu from 6 – 7pm, the restaurant opens from Good Friday until the end of October and is available for private functions and celebrations.

D. O’Shea’s Bar

Garbhan and Mary Kavanagh of D. O'Shea's Bar

One of the iconic images of Sneem, D. O’Shea’s has been a Public House for over half a century and for much of this time was owned by the O’Shea family. In 1996, it was bought by Mary and Garbhan Kavanagh and extensively renovated inside. They have retained the colourful exterior which has been much photographed and used in advertisements and postcards. Inside is cosy and relaxed, serving the best of bar food throughout the day.

There is an extensive terrace out the back of the pub with fabulous views of the Sneem estuary.
