Blooms for Bees Competition

While there won’t be any National TidyTowns Competition this year, the residents of Sneem are encouraged to keep the village looking its best and provide wildlife corridors throughout the village to provide food for bees and other pollinators.  Your gardens and window boxes are vital for this. Sneem TidyTowns Working Group is  running a Blooms for the Bees Competition over the summer with a first prize of €60 and €40 for the runner-up.

Any size of display is worthy of entry from a tub, window box or hanging basket to a whole frontage or garden.  The more traditional open-petaled types of flowers tend to be best for pollinators.  Check out for lists of the best plants or you may get ideas from our pollinator beds on both greens.

How to enter:

Message the Sneem TidyTowns Facebook page stating your name, address, telephone number and the position of your designated display area or contact Sharon from Green Chair at 089 4616573
